Robin Weelborg: I attended a preforming arts school so ill tell you from my experience and those around me. Preforming arts schools are extremely competitive and require A LOT of guts. It is most definitely NOT for the thin-skinned. Remember preforming arts schools cover singing, dancing and acting. If you are not keen on dancing and acting then stop right there. Don't be fooled by silly shows like High School Musical, it may look glamorous and sparkles but when you join expect sweat, blood and tears! When you attend the school you will be shy at first and self conscious because you are all in the same profession and there is always someone better than you at something. Because of its nature, you will find all people in the school are very over the top and cause big dramas over small things! its just the way it is! However, because of this, it is very fun and people are great to be around. Its great that you are confident in your singing but in preforming arts schools you! can show no signs of weakness. You need to be strong at all times and you will find many people are bi*chy. BUT if you are so so so sure that you want to follow your skills in singing then go for it! I went to dance and ended up singing and dancing and acting! I wish you the best of luck in your decision, just remember, it will completely change your life direction.ooh i almost forgot, remember that it will affect you GCSEs or SQAs or whatever form of academics you take. You will need to work extra hard at academics because the profession of preforming is very poorly paid for the amount of energy put into it. Sad but if you love it, you don't care! Good luck!!...Show more
