Soyez au bon endroit. De toute évidence, les échidnés ne se promènent pas dans les rues de la banlieue. Ce sont des animaux timides et tranquilles, et leur habitat préféré s’étend de la forêt tropicale humide, alpine à semi-désertique, loin des zones bâties. En général, là où il y a des fourmis et des termites en abondance, les échidnés peuvent aussi être présents. Il existe quatre espèces connues d’échidnés :

Sachez que la faune indigène est protégée en Australie. Prenez des photos et observez de loin. N’essayez pas d’interférer avec l’échidène de quelque façon que ce soit.

Surveillez la réaction d’un échidné conscient. Dès qu’un échidné prend conscience de vous, ou qu’il est dérangé par vous, il se met à creuser verticalement vers le bas. Il s’arrêtera quand il sera à moitié enterré! , car il est presque impossible de déloger un échidné ainsi enterré (et n’essayez même pas).

Recherchez les égratignures sur le sol. Les échidnés qui utilisent le sont pour trouver des fourmis ou des termites peuvent creuser dans des endroits autres que des nids de fourmis ou de termites. Jannie Ariola: Hi! It's so great to hear that you're interested in studying abroad. I was an exchange student in Italy and it was amazing. Studying abroad was very challenging, but I think it was worth it. Learning a new language was difficult and there were several times when I felt very homesick, but I gained so much from the experience. It's important to keep in mind that being an exchange student isn't a vacation-- you'll be required to go to school and will be living the life of a normal teenage in whichever country you choose. Honestly, I don't think it matters where you study abroad-- you'll probably have a wonderful experience no matter which country you choose. People in Norway and Iceland tend to know English very well, so it might be a little bit more difficult for you to learn the language. Knowing some French might help you at the beginning of your exchange if you go to France, but you will learn the language of whatever country you choose, so I wouldn't worr! y too much about that. I was comfortable in Italian after about 3 months-- some people learn a little bit faster and some people learn slower, but that seems to be the average. Immersion is definitely the best way to learn a language. I have studied languages in classrooms, but learning through immersion was much more effective. Homesickness was rough, but I think the best way to cope with it is to throw yourself into the culture of your host country. Make friends, find a hobby, or spend time with your host family. Spending a lot of time on Skype or Facebook will only make the homesickness worse! Good luck!...Show more

The IEP plan is the only legal document the school is suppose to use to help the child, and if none of these problems are listed on it, then there is no proof the child even has these problems, so this gets the school off the hook and they don't have to help, and they won't be violating any laws. The parents need to get the help the child needs with these issues written into the IEP plan, stating specifically waht the school is suppose to do to help with these things.THEN if the school continues then YES the school will be violating IDEA law and the parents can take action against the school....Show more

Peter Lapoint: Manifestation determinations are always difficult. One of the things I like to do when we have to make these decisions is pull out the DSM-IV and list the criteria for the di! sorders. If the behavior is not directly related to one of those crite! ria, then I don't count it as a manifestation. Yes, it may be secondary, but it's not a part of the diagnositic criteria. Whatever the cause for misbehavior, appropriate consequences need to be given, otherwise you have a behavioral mess on your hands (i.e. a child who thinks he's not responsible for anything he does). Think about it, walked away from a police officer and was disrespectful, would the officer stop to check to see if he has a disability? Heck no! Having a disability doesn't necessarily explain every negative behavior someone has, and it certainly doesn't make it 'ok'. For the record, Conduct disorder is a tough one, because it's diagnosed based on behavior, not the *cause* of behavior like depression and ADHD. A conduct disorder says he has made bad choices in the past, and will likely continue to make bad choices. The best way to deal with him is ... So that one I don't use in cases like this, because not giving them consequences definitely causes ! more problems.In any case, it sounds like the team can help you develop a behavior plan that has firm consequences for negative behavior and rewards for positive behavior. If he doesn't have behavioral goals on his IEP, it might be time. A specified cooling off place may even be made part of his IEP. At my schools, kids have been given special passes to a designated person/place when the need arises. It's worked out well unless the kid tries to take advantage of the situation.You as a parent *do not* have to agree with the team's determination. You may file due process and let the state sort it out. I would advise going to your state's education site, going to the special ed section, and looking at due process cases they have listed (it may take some searching to find!) If the cirriculm isn't as hard and the student to teacher ratio isn't as good as the center then you won't be benefiting very much in my mind.Overall I think either can be good with the proper kn! owledge.
