Does a period go after or inside quotation marks? URGENT EASY POINTS?

Mack Ukich: Always in.

James Langmyer: Inside.

Barton Morfee: the period never goes out side the quotation marks and the sentence in fine

Ester Bryand: The period goes outside the quotation marks.As in:We just called him "Jimboy".

Bryant Pillitteri: The period goes inside the quotation marks. Always.... Unless of course the quotation is not the end of the sentence in question. The period only goes at the end of the sentence.
