Corrinne Ruozzo: Well it has a good image sensor, full manual control, access to many high quality lenses, spot metering, reliable performance to name a few.It also depends on what your comparing it against. It is an entry level DSLR and is many many times better than a point and shoot camera. The image sensor is about 15 times larger, better analog to digital converter and much better lenses.Compared to a Canon 1DS MK III or a Nikon D3 it isn't great. These cameras cost over $5,000.00 for the body only though. That said I doubt you would notice any difference in image quality if you used the same lens and settings as the top of the line cameras.Check out some reviews on the camera....Show more
