Lucky for us... consumer DVD based camcorders, whether standard or high definition, have no place taking anyone's money.Now, if Sony (and all the other camcorder manufacturers) would stop making anything to do with consumer camcorders using AVCHD/MTS video compression and capture and just do DV/HDV, they would all be doing the buying public a HUGE favor.I'm not saying build only miniDV tape - but I am saying it should be simple enough to just build hard disc drive, flash memory and miniDV tape camcorders for DV/HDV consumer video storage media.AVCHD is fine for the last step of the process - but not the first step......Show more
