Ardath Templer: yellow is video. red is right stereo audio. white is left stereo audio. pick a set of these three colors alligned together and labeled as some sort of "in". It may say video or dvd, but thats just a suggestion. If the input has an "out" right next to it, it's made for a vcr, but you can still use the "in" side and leave the "out" alone. Here's a pic: http://images.trustedreviews.com/images/article/in...Another option would be component video which just gives you a better picture by splitting the yellow connector into 3 inputs, red green and blue. Match up the colors if you have a component video plug for the wii, and the red and white audio plug in just the same as before. You just moved from 3 plugs (red, white, yellow) to 5 plugs (red, white, blue, green, red). If you do component video, make sure not to plug the red audio into the red video.here's a pic:http://hr20.dbstalk.com/images/humax_lcd/large/img...A step up from here would be hdmi. I don't know i! f the wii outputs in HD, but the socket looks trapezoidal. The hdmi carries both audio and video in one line.here's a pic: http://www.watchitforfree.com/wp-content/gallery/h...In conclusion, take a look at this pic.http://www.breakitdownblog.com/wp-content/uploads/...On the top left you can input 2 devices using standard 480i resolution, Thats regular tv. You're also given a choice between regular yellow input or s-video. s-video is a video output computers generally use. Some have vga and dvi outputs on the back but that's off topic. If given the choice between yellow and s-vid, use s-vid. It's a little better. On the top right, you have the ability to connect three devices via component video and stereo audio. Right to the right of them is where you'd connect your tv to this receiver so all the devices you have in it broadcast through your tv, and you just choose what input you want to use on the receiver. At bottom center you have 2 hdmi inputs and a dvi. The dvi is the co! mputer one i mentioned earlier. HDMI is to yellow as DVI is to! s-video.There are three more audio outs. Two for the hdmi inputs in the center and one for the dvi on the right. These are there for when you want to get HD picture but want to route the sound somewhere else besides your tv like a stereo system.Lastly, there is digital audio in the bottom left used for surround sound. You don't need to go digital to get 5,1 though. Any reciever or television with a feature called "pro logic" can interpret 2-channel stereo signal and divide the sound over 5.1 accordingly. The only step up form digital audio is fiber optic audio which can go up to 7.1 channels. (5/7.1 means 5 or 7 speakers plus a subwoofer).Hope this was helpful!!!...Show more
Doreatha Kjellsen: leave the red wire out and just connect the yellow and white wires but also look for an input with all the colors but if theres no other one then just do it thw way i told you
