Rashad Marecki: All your friend said was it is beneficial. Not that it should be done. Many women think circumcision looks better but that's not the important part of it.Also it is easier to clean and therefore more hygienic. This is probably what your friend meant.Furthermore, the women in Africa do not have a choice if it is done to them Also, it is often done with out any anisthetic. The same cannot be said for men in the Western world. So you have a friend who has a different opionion than you. You are discusted with this and do not want to talk to her again. That is quite immature. Good luck in life if you decide you won't talk to anyone that does not share your opinion....Show more
Pei Heatherly: Ask her next time how would she like her clitoris to be exposed to dry out and rub on her clothing 24 hours a day. Try that for about 20 years, and see how sensitive it remains.
Karl Jantzen: @Hugo90 I have NEVER ranted before and female circumcision has many v! arieties incision, clitrodectomy (severe form),piercing, pricking, labiaplasty, hoodectomy, infibulation (severe form),scarping, cauterization (severe form) and not every type is harmful and some of types are actually least severe to male circumcision. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=98f3IavuEgQ
Lolita Deschamp: There is NO practical purpose for male genital mutilation in the world. This mutilation does NOT prevent any diseases. Many people advocate for male genital mutilation because of the deception that doctors spread around. Also, some people advocate male genital mutilation because they are in denial about the harms of male genital mutilation. Parents will advocate for this mutilation to justify that their decision that they forced upon their sons was acceptable. Additionally, most people who advocate for male genital mutilation are usually people who know nothing about the mutilation and know nothing about the foreskin. Then people want to advocate for male genital mut! ilation because they want to keep the practice alive. In gener! al, I think people who advocate for male genital mutilation are just ridiculous. Most people know that there is no benefit to this mutilation. Therefore, people should let go of this mutilation. Once people let go of this mutilation, then humanity can finally move forward!!!!@TinaIt's outrageous for you to say that amputating a healthy body part is cleaner. That's like saying amputating your toes from your feet makes your feet easier clean. That's an asinine reason to advocate for male genital mutilation. Actually, most male genital mutilation procedures don't use anesthesia. Also, using anesthesia (or not using anesthesia) doesn't justify this mutilation....Show more
Violette Vanek: should be get it done. it's WRONG to say it's beneficial because there is NO benefit of this barbaric genital mutilation. all it does make the willy desensitizes and reduce the sensitivity.
Sol Allphin: You have done this rant before. We are not particularly sympathetic. To compar! e circumcision to Female genital mutilation is cruel.
Brittney Inabnit: To answer your headline Question =because it makes Sex much more difficult for men.And because most religions are basically anti-sex.They grudgingly permit Sex for Procreation and ban Sex for Pleasure and, of course masturbation.Plus of course it's been a sacrificial thing since the Stone Age.The supposed benefits are all illogicalbecause the foreskin evolved to protect the penis from germs. You are right that liberated women scream rape if it's done to them.MEDIT = HIV infection is irrelevant scaremongering =It is known be have been caused in Africa by 60 million contaminated 'flu injections by WHO in 1974, and showering does not affect whether you catch it or not.Unfortunately the latest figures from Africa have NOT showna 10% decrease in HIV from circumcision but rather an increase....Show more
Sammy Hatzenbihler: "Furthermore, the women in Africa do not have a choice if it is done to them! Also, it is often done with out any anisthetic. The same cannot be sai! d for men in the Western world. "we can say the same thing about men in western world. most of babies are circumcised right after they born or when they are really young so they are not given a choice.!! and most of western shallow women dump men for being intact or push men to get mutilated for their own preference. in Africa not just women but also men are circumcised but these men are provided medical instruments and trained surgeons to perform their rituals so WHY in the same way African women are not provided medical instruments and trained surgeons to perform their circumcision instead of forcing them to ban it? Son Ahlers: OK. So you have your opinion about the issue, why isn't she allowed to have hers. Why are you so militant about it.I am against forced ! infant circumcision, but firmly believe that an older male has every right to decide for himself whether he wants to circumcised or not. And no matter what he chooses, it should be respected.Same goes for your friend and her opinion. You don't have to agree with her, but if you expect others to respect your choices and opinions you HAVE to respect theirs....Show more
Lynn Melbourne: MISINFORMATION and primitive ideas about sexuality and hygiene.First it was to reduce male sexual pleasure. This was a Victorian age thing that continued until about the 1950s. The ideas was to lower male sexual urges and sexual pleasure. This is now hushed up, but it is known to mess with the sex life of men and also there women. A study in the International Journal of Menâs Health noted that circumcised men have a 4.5 times greater chance of suffering from erectile dysfunction. than natural men. Other studies have previously observed that circumcisionâs damage results in worsened e! rectile functioning, inability to maintain an erection, and reducing th! e glans sensitivity, including an overall penis sensitivity reduction by 75%. There are other studies as well..The knowledge of the this WOUNDING affecting sexual pleasure and function goes back years so there is NO IF as to SEXUAL HARM, it is a matter of HOW BAD IS IT for any particular guy. Maimonides (the Torah scholar) noted that the act that circumcision weakens the faculty of sexual excitement and diminishes the pleasure. Kellogg declared a âwar on masturbationâ at the end of the 19th century and advocated circumcision to curb male sexual urges by removing the main male pleasure zones. The zones have the only fine touch and stretch sensors. Then it was the primitive ideas of hygiene and not understanding good and foreign (invasive) bacteria (STAPH A). This actually continues with people (including doctors and nurses) still saying this. They miss the idea that there is bacteria all over us and we all NEED it. It is actually not cleaner to have a cut up penis. It ha! s now also been observed that natural boys have the same bacteria as natural girls and that cut boys have different (invasive) bacteria (such as Staph A). A partial penis (cut up penis) is just missing parts, but as such it is invaded by not natural bacteria.EVERY HUMAN (male and female) has the RIGHT (a human right) to reach adulthood with all of the tissue (particularly all of their erogenous tissue) that THEIR genetic code provides.@TYLER, you got hit with the newest misinformation stick. It turns out that the ONLY MALE to FEMALE study showed cut men passing HIV to women at a MUCH higher rate than natural men. Look up the 2009 Rakai team (Wawer/Gra-y) study that reported Ugandan men that were CIRCUMCISED were 50% MORE likely to infect their female partners than men that are uncircumcised (have their natural genitals). As to female to male, the 60% RELATIVE risk reduction is actually a 1.27 risk change CLAIMED. However, they told the cut men to use condoms so the data! could all be about condoms or be about WOUNDING a man and him then hav! ing less sex for some time. Regarding HIV, recent news have shown that new infections during 2010-2011 in Zimbabwe were more prevalent among circumcised males, and that the increasing rate of circumcision in Nyanza has failed to curb the new HIV infections, further proving that the presence or absence of foreskin has nothing to do with HIV infection, and behavior and safe sex practices have everything to do with it....Show more
Salvador Prchlik: @bender_xr217 it's not okay to believe like that. women don't like men have an opinion of abortion.
Jayson Brod: Wow. Clearly you feel very passionate about this subject and I'm going to try to not piss you off.I completely agree with you that circumcision has no place in the developed world. It's unfair, it's mutilation, it's barbaric, it's wrong. However, I do support circumcision in undeveloped nations, particularly those with high rates of HIV/AIDS. Here's why: research has consistently shown that men with circumcis! ed penises are statistically waaay less likely to spread the virus to their partner. Considering that there are millions upon millions of people with HIV in these nations, if most of them were to be circumcised, even a 10% decrease (I don't know the exact percentage, but my point still stands) in the transmission rate of HIV would spare millions of people from contracting the disease.Of course, you could counter this argument by supporting the active encouragement of condom use, which also protects people from spreading HIV. But it's much more difficult to ensure that men are going to use condoms every time they engage in sexual intercourse.Furthermore, circumcision improves the hygiene of the penis. In developed nations, men don't necessarily shower every day. Or every week for that matter. This makes it much more easy for smegma, among other things, to develop underneath the foreskin.Circumcision in developed nations is much less useful. Hygiene and HIV are not nearly as ! big of issues here. Men shower every day here, and people are much more! aware of HIV prevention. If a proposition came along that banned circumcision, I would vote yes on that proposition....Show more
